FRIDAY!! The weekend training plan

I ended up working from home today. I love being uber productive - doing the work from the office that I need to do and getting some loads of laundry done at the same time! That means I can play all weekend without the nagging thought of laundry. I LIKE THAT! The reason I am working from home today, though, is my darling daughter woke up feeling not so hot. She is off to her Dad's for the weekend too. After sleeping all morning though, she is feeling better.

All week I have suffered with my periformis acting up and my IT band aching - both on the left side. It is hard to roll the periformis out or stretch, but I have been trying. Lots of Pigeon Pose for me! I have had total running/cycling fail since Monday. I ran a nice 5 miles on Monday no problem, but then the bottom fell out of my week and feeling the pain didn't' help! Other than core class on Wednesday, I have been a slug. I hate it when that happens and I really have no one to blame but ME!!!!!!!!!!!! and a thunderstorm Wednesday evening that decided I would not be running. I'm certain I would feel less stressed out if I had done some of the miles that I was scheduled to do!

Saturday, I have the choice of 40 or 57 miles with my friends up in Frederick County. The weather is supposed to be awesome, so I am hoping that I can hang for the 57 miles. Hopefully, there is a good group riding. Lots of hills up that way and Phil, the ride master, always sticks the hilliest roads he can find. If I remember to take my camera, I'll take cow and goat pictures along the way.

Sunday, will be the regular swim practice and then if the body is feeling up for it I would like to get in a 5 or 6 mile run.

Next week is another Crit race. This one is in Baltimore!

Enjoy your weekend!
